3.25 Daily Update From Pastor Sara

“But in my distress I cried out to the Lord; yes, I prayed to my God for help. He heard me from his sanctuary; my cry to him reached his ears.” (Psalm 18:6)

Good Morning Members and Friends of the United Methodist Church,

Something special is happening today at noon. The world is joining together to pray. Pope Francis and The Council of Bishops of The United Methodist Church is urging everyone to pray the Lord’s Prayer today at noon in our time zone. In the words of Pope Francis, “We wish to respond to the pandemic of the virus with the universality of prayer, of compassion and tenderness.”

At difficult times like these, it can be natural to feel helpless and to wonder ‘what can I do?’ One thing that we can always do is pray. If you have prayers that you would like to share with the church, I encourage you go to the church’s website at: https://watertownfirst.church/submit-a-prayer.

Friends may we continue to be the people of prayer that God calls us to be.

In Ministry Together,

Pastor Sara
