Thank you to all who have completed the survey developed by the Re-Opening Task Force. If you haven’t already filled it out, could you please take 5 minutes to complete the survey? Here is the link for the survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PTBSFY6. Your feedback will be tremendously helpful to the team. Thank you in advance for taking the time to fill it out!

Maskateers Ministry- 300 Masks have been delivered so far!
Jenkins Living Center, Avantara and Edgewood Assisted Living and Memory Care are in need of cloth masks as we all continue to deal with COVID-19. In making cloth masks for these frontline health care workers, we will be able to show our support of these care givers who do what most of us cannot do.

There are several ways we can provide support. Donations of 100% cotton fabric–quilting fabric is ideal 1/4″ to 3/8″ elastic Neutral colored thread In addition, we need help with the sewing. We will each sew at home. A pattern will be provided. Sue Togel has offered to head up this new ministry. Donations of fabric, elastic or neutral colored thread can be taken to the church Monday through Friday and placed in the specially marked tub located by the NE church door. If you need your items picked up or if you are willing to help sew, you may contact Sue at stogel@midco.net or you may call her at 605-520-6136.

Church Finances: We’ve had a number of questions about how COVID-19 will affect the financial health of the church. The church’s financial health will be dependent on its members and friends making an intentional effort to continue to give. There are several methods available for giving. You can mail your tithe and offerings to the church at: First United Methodist Church, 4 Second Ave SE, Watertown, SD 57201 or give online at: www.watertownfirst.church/giving-back.
