March 26. Daily Update From Pastor Sara

“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” (Galatians 6:9)

Good Morning Members and Friends of First United Methodist Church,

In his letter to the Galatians, the Apostle Paul writes: “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” (Galatians 6:9)

Are any of you feeling tired? Maybe you are tired physically or mentally? Maybe tired of being stuck at home? Maybe tired of the news? Maybe tired of being with the kids? Maybe tired of being alone?

As this time of social distancing continues, I encourage you not to give up. To keep being the people that God created you to be and to keep doing the things that God created you to do.

God has given us the ability to help others which has this amazing benefit of making us feel good too.

If you are looking to do some good for Christ, below you will find the list of all of the people in our church who are living in a long-term nursing facility in Watertown. As you likely know, all of the long-term nursing facilities are currently closed to visitors and families because of COVID-19.

I encourage you to remember these folks in your prayers and to take time to send a card or a note to someone on the list. May we take Paul’s words to heart today: by not getting tired of doing good for the sake of Christ’s kingdom.

In Ministry Together,

Pastor Sara
